Questions

Everything you'd want to know before booking

Short answers to the questions we get most often. If anything's still open, Lili is reachable on WhatsApp.

What is Bishulilim?

Bishulilim is a home-based Persian-Jewish culinary experience hosted by chef Lili Twizer in Beit Shean, in the Nof HaGilboa neighborhood. A multi-course meal is served on our covered, climate-controlled garden terrace — trees, flowers, and the Gilboa rising beyond the house. Groups of 10 to 70 share the table alongside Lili's personal story of Persian aliyah and live folklore music.

Who is Lili Twizer?

Lili Twizer is a Persian-born Israeli chef and host, raised in Beit Shean's transit camp after her family's aliyah. She trained at Rimonim Culinary College, the Chef College in Haifa, and holds a Ministry of Health sanitation certification. Her aliyah story is the thread through every meal.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes — every experience is by advance reservation only. We don't host walk-ins and don't keep stock food for drop-ins. Reach out via WhatsApp, by phone at 054-203-0341, or through our quote form and we'll tailor a date and menu.

How many guests can you host?

From 10 to 70 guests on the pergola. For smaller parties we recommend combining the meal with a cooking workshop; for larger groups (50+) we adjust seating and menu scale accordingly.

Is the meal kosher?

The kitchen operates kosher at baseline. On request we arrange a certified mashgiach and a same-day kashrut certificate — please mention this when requesting your quote so we can coordinate in advance.

Can I request a non-Persian menu?

Absolutely. Lili also cooks Moroccan, Tunisian and Algerian classics, Israeli home kitchen favourites, and adapts to bespoke occasions — Thanksgiving dinners, seasonal celebrations, anniversaries and more. Mention the style you have in mind at booking and we'll shape the menu around your group and occasion.

What does it cost per person?

The menu is tailored personally; prices range from ₪60 to ₪240 per guest (before VAT) depending on group, dish count, format and overall booking. After a quick WhatsApp conversation we send an exact quote.

What languages do you host in?

Primarily Hebrew. Lili hosts English-speaking tourist groups regularly, and after her 2020 feature on RTVI's NauchDok she's comfortable sharing the personal story with Russian-speaking guests as well.

Is the terrace covered and climate-controlled?

Yes — the terrace is covered and ventilated, with custom-fitted side panels, and climate-controlled year-round with air conditioning in summer and heating in winter. It is not a sealed indoor room — the experience is more open and airy than an enclosed space, with the green of the garden always around you. Comfortable in every season — on the hottest summer days and the coldest winter nights alike.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes — step-free entrance for wheelchairs, free parking at the door, and a covered, ventilated terrace with climate control year-round. Please let us know in advance if a guest needs mobility adjustments so we can arrange seating.

Do you cater off-site?

Yes. If you're staying in a cabin, park or event space anywhere in the Valley of Springs, Gilboa or the lower Galilee, Lili can arrive with the pots and serve a full hot meal on location. Works for company events and team-building days.

What's the difference between the six experience formats?

There are five tracks: The Persian Feast — a full Persian-Jewish meal (from ₪140); Story & Pastry — tea, home pastries and Lili's personal story (from ₪60, minimum 20 guests); Persian Royal Banquet — the royal feast with the Hina ceremony (from ₪180); Catering — at your venue or pickup (by quote); and Cooking & Baking Workshops (from ₪180). The experiences page breaks down exactly what's included in each. All prices are before VAT.
